CARTA DE RUNA DAMSAGER, PASTORA DEL HOSPITAL DE HVIDOVRE

October 05, 2003 3:14 PM

Dear Mariluz,
I hope this letter will find you well. I also hope that you have received
a letter that I have sent to you some weeks ago.
You know from my letter how much I appreciate what you write and that you
have sent a copi to me. Because your way of thinking in the Carta is unique
I have a surgestion to make to you.
Recently I have got the thought that if you agree I would let your Carta a
Dios be a part of the November-edition of  a very small publication called
"En Kirkehilsen", i.e. "A greeting from the Church" litterally translated.
It is offered in churches and hospitals and read by interested, Christian
people.
November is the month of all saints' and all souls' days - I think of
bringing your Carta, maybe some verses from one of the Psalmes in OT and a
writing by a Dane who has had some hard years and now has found his old
attitude towards life.
Probably I will also surgest a photo by Thomas Merton.
Can you give your permission to bring your Carta, translated by Sigrid and
with a small introduction telling the most necessary information to
understand the background for the Carta?
Your name need not to be told if you prefer to be anonymous.
My deadline is  Oct 10th: I hope you get this mail Monday Oct. 6th and are
able to give me your answer within a few days.
Pax et bonum,
Runa

RESPUESTA

Dear Runa, I was very happy to receive this mail, I have not received any
normal letter from you, it now takes months! if it arrives, and I don't know
if you have my correct address. Mariluz Uribe de Holguin, Diagonal 76 No
1A39, Rosales, Bogota 2 Colombia South America. It changed an also the phone
571345 9008.
I received a letter from Sigrid, only in the letter from Turkey there was no
address.
Of course you can use my letter CARTA A DIOS, it will be a GREAT pleasure.

I don't know if I sent you the first copy or the corrected one I made a few
weeks later. I will look and send also the little prayer Jorge invented when
he was 8 and see if it is also appropriate.
You can translate everything and use it everywhere you think it will be
convenient, and you can use our names,  it will be a honor for Jorge and for
me to have our names remembered there in a country we really love. So please
go ahead.
I am receiving your mail on Sunday here your Monday already I suppose.
For you, Sigrid and the rest of the family, how big is it now? all my best,
love and regards. You made me cry and I must tell you I almost never do.

Mariluz Uribe de Holguin
